The Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (MoWECP) issued Ministerial Regulation No. 13/2020 on the Protection of Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) in Disasters. This regulation sets 18 minimum standards for preventing and addressing violence against women and children during all stages of disasters and mandates the provision of specific support services. Subnational governments, through relevant departments, are authorized to deliver these services using their allocated budgets.
